Her career path has taken Arzu from Cesars Resorts & Spas to several national and international hotel brands, such as Dedeman Resorts & Hotels, Divan Hotels, Hawthorn Resorts, Bodrium Resort & Spa, Mövenpick Resort & Spa, Grand Yazıcı Resort, Doria Hotels & Resorts, and Kempinski Hotels and Resorts, before joining Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Bodrum in 2017 and finally successfully opening Susona Bodrum, LXR Hotels and Resorts in July 2020.
During her 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Arzu has developed a comprehensive set of experience and skills that is currently showcased in her daily operations as General Manager of Susona Bodrum, LXR Hotels and Resorts.
Arzu is known for her hands-on approach with any task that she encounters and motivates her team to act the same way. Since she believes in leading by example and values all input from her team, she encourages each individual to share their ideas and feedback, in order to constantly improve operations. She beliefs in the credo of one team, one goal – where every member of the team is equally valuable for the success and therefore each member of the team is well versed in empowerment.
Her passion for her work is visible to all – the team, the guests, brand executives, as well as owners. Arzu is driven by her passion for success and a prime example of how to manage the service profit cycle. By sharing her knowledge and empowering her team to continuously improve professionally, she manages to create team satisfaction, loyalty and productivity. This in exchange results in her team’s attitude towards service quality and value which impacts guest satisfaction & loyalty on their part – leading to a successful and profitable operation, which overall is appreciated by the final stakeholders.
Aside from being a successful General Manager – also winning the Haute Grandeur Award as Best General Manager and after 24 years of learning and developing personally and professionally, Arzu is not yet done with learning on her part and has parallelly managed to acquire her Master of Science in Tourism Management, where she examined the subject of crisis management at the example of five star hotels in the region.
However, all successes and professional achievements aside, if one would ask her what she would define as her greatest accomplishment, there is only one answer: her son Ateş Toprak.
Not only has she formed a successful and awarded professional career, but has simultaneously managed to maintain a loving family-life with her husband and her role as a mother.
